It will be approximately 4hrs, including a stop at the lock in Maganey for a quick break and stretch of the legs. If people want to bring a picnic, snacks or tea/coffee, that's no problem. Taking place on Friday March 29th, we will be leaving the jetty in Athy at 12 noon sharp to arrive in the Park at Graiguecullen, Carlow in the late afternoon. The cost of this trip is at the special rate of €28 per person (3hr trips are usually priced at €35). Booking in advance online is essential and can be done by clicking the button below. The long-term forecast is for a dry bright day with no rain. For photography enthusiasts, this is the perfect opportunity to snap some wildlife and birds, as the trees are not in full leaf yet. There is a return train from to Athy from Carlow at 16:09, 16:53, and 19:35 and costs a little under €7 when booked online. Train fare is not included in the cost of the trip.
