Ever wondered how canal locks work? This boat trip will take passengers on a learning experience to sample the working life of a lock-keeper. This will include filling & emptying the lock chamber, lifting and lowering the racks, and opening the gates. Participants will also hear of the working life of a lock-keeper and the history associated with locks on the river Barrow.
This trip takes place on Monday, August 20, 2018.We'll leave the Town Park jetty at 6pm sharp, aim to be back at the jetty between 7.30pm and 8pm. This trip is €20 per person and limited to ten people only so booking in advance is essential.
